Northern Tap House

Renovation of a tired Applebee’s into a new vibrant restaurant in Lakeville, MN. Removal of all Applebee’s design elements, sunken bar, façade and bulkheads into an open ceiling floorplan with custom built in seating. A 40 tap cooler anchored the bar with custom bottle storage racking. Completely renovated restrooms and entrance façade eliminated last traces of Applebees.

New wood flooring and tile throughout while patching of existing millwork upfront reduced renovation costs. Back of house was refreshed/upgraded to facilitate new menu including addition of large gas fired pizza oven which required structural modifications to exterior wall to allow equipment to fit into space.

Accelerated schedule to allow for a spring opening was needed requiring close coordination with client, equipment supplier and design team to bring the store to market.

Morelli's Market

ShaneCon collaborated with owner and architect to create an energy efficient, safe with low operating costs structure on a tight site.

Project is construction with using SIP project panels erected on-site with limited space with minimal disturbance to existing store operations or neighbors. Limitations included hill excavations, overhead power lines. Project additionally incorporated a unique heat-treated arbor wood and panels.

InTown Sushi

Teamed up with the NDC (Neighborhood Development Center ) on the conversion of a kiosk space into cool sushi concept,  concentration on material selections created many cost savings for the owner.

The Modern Well

Conversion of existing retail space into A women- centered collaborative office space that balances independent with holistic well being.  Worked with owner and design team to maximize women participation in the construction process.

Turner Residence

Conversion of an abandoned 1922 firehouse to a single family home.  The building was completely gutted down to the structure.  Improvements included a new roof, windows.  Additional space was added with a partial mezzanine above the kitchen and dining area housing two bedrooms and a restroom.  A 3 stall garage with one stall accommodating a lift to house a fourth vehicle was added along with a second level guest suite with a full bathroom.  A high end security and entertainment package was added as well.  Finishes showcase the existing structure with an overall industrial vibe showcasing raw steel stairs and cable railing, sealed concrete and luxury vinyl plank flooring, exposed wood ceiling structure.
